Farmer's Market and Grocery Shopping in Puriscal
I was pondering what to blog about when I realized I haven't posted pictures of the feria in Puriscal. It moved to this location a few years ago. Before that a street was blocked off every Saturday for the market and the vendors set up their stalls on both sides of the road.
This is a much better location with shelter from the weather. There are a mix of vendors here, some selling produce they grow themselves and others are reselling what they buy from the bigger distributors.
I have found that the feria is the best place to buy fresh, quality produce.
I took this picture outside of the market. The street in front of the church was blocked off for about a week for a festival.
I didn't want to leave the camera in the car so I took the opportunity to take a few shots of the inside of Super Mora grocery store.
We buy everything except for vegetable and meat here. Lately, they expanded their selection to include some Asian items like sushi rice and nori as well as gluten free pastas. Now all they are missing is good quality dark chocolate bars!
