Over the weekend I checked on the resident nesting Inca Doves and saw two cute tails sticking out of the nest. This year they chose to nest in a prime spot on top of a metal post that supports the roof of the galeron. These birds don't mind intense heat.
Yesterday John witnessed the newborns maiden voyage out of the nest and onto this branch. Mama bird was just out of camera range watching over the two new ones. They looked a little dazed but otherwise healthy.
