This small critter was about a meter away when I spotted it. From a distance I thought it was two bugs mating, joined at the butt like so many do. I got as close as possible and zoomed in for the picture. When I looked at the photo on the computer I was surprised to see it was a caterpillar. The disguise of having a head at either end really worked for my human eyes.
