An excellent opportunity presented itself to me on Saturday morning while photographing the setting moon. Far in the distance, but near the moon, was a flock of more than a hundred birds. This picture shows the birds as they were approaching the moon. The birds were so far away I couldn't see what type they were but I do know it's one of the largest flocks I have seen in the nearby skies.
