Blister Beetle

I enjoy taking the camera out in nature to see what I can find to photograph. I was inspecting an area when I noticed this bug crawl out from underneath a leaf. And then I saw several more appear as they woke up to start the day. I didn't think much of it until later that day I saw about a hundred of these insects eating the squash leaves on a plant in the garden. I thought to myself I need to remove them and then the little voice in my head said "wear gloves". I researched on the internet to discover these are a type of blister beetle and when disturbed can emit something that makes our skin blister! The next morning, wearing gloves, I caught as many as I could and removed them from the garden.
