There is a field in town that is home to three donkeys. A while back I saw one interacting with a dog and decided to take a picture. When the donkey saw me he came rushing towards me. I realized he wanted food, but I didn't have any. Many weeks later we were walking near the donkey field and a car stopped near the fence and a man got out to talk on his phone. The donkeys saw him and ran towards the man, I think hoping for food. We were in front of a grocery store and decided to go in and get a bag of apples to feed the animals. It surprised me that donkeys didn't seem to know what an apple was and they acted very suspicious. Eventually the donkey on the right took a few bites and thought apples were good. Next time I'll try carrots.
