I found this unusual orchid blooming in the citrus orchard and noticed something odd about the bee on the left. It took an internet search to learn a pollinium is attached to the back of the bee. A pollinium is the mass of pollen grains from the flower that connects to the bee when it is inside the blossom. The bee will eventually transfer this to the inside of another flower. I found this fascinating and have never seen it before.
