View and Chicharron Dogs

Puriscal Valley View
On the way home one day, John found a spot for me to take photos of the valley. Parts of our property is visible in the distance. I spent several minutes taking pictures, and when I turned around, I saw a pack of dogs outside the car. What's happening!? We were returning from the weekly shopping trip, and John decided to eat a piece of chicharron. These dogs could smell the pork and came from a house about 100 meters away looking for handouts. John did share with the dogs and they scrambled when they saw me approach the car.

I had to search the meaning of chicharron. Pork rinds? Like a chip? What do they taste like?
They are mostly fatty pieces of pork boiled in fat. They are very delicious!
