One Less Big Tree in Puriscal
Earth has one less big tree. A nearby big Pochote tree was cut down yesterday to make way for a new construction. I’ve known for a while they were going to do that. The reality is you aren’t supposed to let trees on fence lines of public roads get that big. I could tell that in the past it was used as a living fence post, but someone stopped maintaining it long ago.
There was a backhoe, two chainsaws and two guys with machetes. They climbed the tree to tie ropes, cut smaller branches and situate the ladder so they could go higher. It was done in stages and took most of the day.
