Annual Feria del Chicharrón Puriscal

The annual Puriscal Feria del Chicharrón took place a few weekends ago. This area is known for its chicharrons (fried pork) and a festival happens around the pork treat at least once a year. We did not attend, but walked through the park in the morning before events opened for the day. An artist displayed a big pig statue. I read on the internet it had to be repainted mid way through the fair because too many kids were climbing on it. It wasn't made to be climbed on... I have a feeling Santa made an appearance in the area in the second photo. There were 3 or 4 decorated Christmas trees, however it appears no one gave them water and they were very brown and dead. There were many food vendors and a lot of carnival booth games with prizes.
