I found yet another unusual, never seen before insect. An internet search identified this as a Long Nosed Lantern Fly. The insect was about two inches long. It stayed in this position outside, where the wall meets the floor, for the entire day. I didn't want to disturb it by putting the camera too close, but I think you can see the colorful green patterns on the semi-transparent wings.
