This bright splash of orange caught my eye as I neared the bottom of the stairs leading to the river. It was wet and dripping and looked like someone had recently spray painted the tree. I looked around but no one was near and I also couldn't imagine why someone would want to mark this tree. Upon further inspection I determined the substance was coming either from the tree or a plant growth on the bark. When I returned the next day it had completely dried up.
