Caterpillar Season 2013 Puriscal
It must be caterpillar season in our part of Costa Rica. I found this guy when I was walking on the path to our citrus orchid. He was conveniently positioned on a tree at eye level which made picture taking easy. This caterpillar was about 1 1/2 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide.
The textures and patterns were remarkable. John thought it looked like a fuzzy slipper.
A couple of days later I found this one eating a leaf of an okra plant. I like its aqua blue head. It would be interesting to see what type of butterfly both of these turn into.
