Puriscal Real Estate

Puriscal Real Estate
I have read several times that most of Costa Rica is for sale. In our travels, I see numerous for sale ("se vende" in Spanish) signs on vacant land and houses. I see many signs in the same location year after year. Some sellers have the idea that if their property doesn't sell over time, then the price should be increased! I understand that many Ticos, for whatever reason, do not trust real estate agents and won't list with them. I am glad we purchased our property when we did. At that time there were several expat oriented websites dedicated to real estate in Puriscal. Now all of those websites are gone or no longer active. If we were beginning our search today, I think it might be more difficult. We were fortunate to make the transaction with people that spoke English. Today I think it would require more of a "boots on the ground" approach. Being fluent in Spanish would be a huge benefit, and it would be even better to have a good Tico friend help with the search. Here are some photos of property that is currently for sale in the Puriscal area. As you can see some of the signs look very old and worn and others are small and tucked away and easy to miss.
