My new vegetable garden area is finished. The raised garden beds are made out of concrete panels that were part of the house we tore down. All of the rocks and rubble were also on site. We have a grove of large bamboo just below our house, some of it was harvested to make the roof structure over two of the beds.
Our crew created four new beds for me. Most of the soil was moved from the old garden area into the new. The guys did spend a morning digging and bagging up about 15 bags of soil from the other side of the river. I am so grateful for all of their hard work! The entire area is fenced to keep dogs and other animals out. Now it's time for me to start planting seeds, which I will do later today.
