I was attracted to the geometry of the button rock. The button itself is nestled at the top of a triangular cut in the rock. The colorful decor below was an added bonus.
I did push harder on this button than the one I found in the gorge. I determined, if I wanted to, I could push my fingernail into it. Because of that I am thinking this is the nest of some type of aquatic insect. I'll check it often to see if anything emerges.
