Unusual Moth in Puriscal

 

Another extremely unusual moth presented itself to us. Instead of resting with its body horizontal to the surface it was as if it was standing upright, its body was perpendicular to the wood chair it was resting upon. The first picture shows the side view. It was very small, less than two centimeters long.

This is the view from the top. From this angle it appears the body is very small and look at that face!

 When I went back to get a better shot of the top view his antennas were upright.
