At the end of last year, I made two posts sharing my new interest in the so-called house plants that grow on the property. I took cuttings from many different varieties and tried to grow them in the barn.

I tried rooting the cuttings in water and in soil. Most of the ones I tried in soil died. I was able to get many going in water. I wound up with a lot of starter plants. Three of them lived in the outdoor shower for a while.

In the end I felt these types of plants do not belong in pots. They need to be free to grow to their full potential. I ended up planting everything that lived in the ground in the garden. One was so enthusiastic it got chopped by the weedwacker. I need to watch them carefully to be sure they grow in the cultivated areas.
