Bats in the House

bats hanging from ceiling
If you have been reading my blog for a while you should remember the small space John and I lived in for a few years while the house was being created. I noticed the other day that three bats have taken up residence in our old house. The picture above doesn't show their feet, but their claws are latched in a crack between ceiling tiles. I don't know what type they are but I feel pretty confidant they are the ones that will devour any ripe bananas that are left uncovered outside. When hanging they are about four inches long. It looks like we will need to begin sealing up the multitude of cracks and gaps going into the room and then encourage them to make a new home somewhere else.
