Tuesday morning we received exciting news of a sighting of two White-faced Monkeys on our property. Our worker watched them arrive via trees in neighbor's farm and then go to the ground to cross the street and then into our fruit orchard. They were last seen in the Neem tree before going in the ravine towards the river. Our employee has lived in this area his entire life and says he has never seen monkeys here. I think this area was well deforested before he was born and all the monkeys left. It would be wonderful if the pair finds the paradise they are seeking on our property and take up residence. I'll be keeping an eye out for them! This is the best monkey picture I have. It was taken in 2009 when we lived in Ciudad Colon.
