About a year ago we had to cut down a tree that was in danger of harming our new house. I have seen the same type of tree cut or fallen in other places and from what I can tell it never dies and will continue sending up new life as long as the roots are intact. The abundant sap along the perimeter of the trunk of this tree was unusual and appears to be a mix of sap and plant matter. In the background is the snake plant so many people have as house plants in the states.
