Guapinol Seed Pods

These are the seed pods of the Guapinol tree, the same type of tree that is perched at the edge of the cliff and often in my sunrise/sunset photos. As you can see the pods are large, about six inches long. Inside the pods are several marble sized seeds and pulp that has medicinal properties.

I am interested to obtain just the pods for a chemical extraction project. Basically i want to determine how much alpha copaene they contain and if the pods are useful as a source of this insect attractant. If the tree is still where it is in the picture and if you are OK with me gathering fallen pods and leaving the seeds i am at cam@chemtica.com
