Paralyzed Spider
This was a sight to see and happened so fast there was no time to change the lens on the camera. I first saw this wasp on the floor in the house, struggling to fly with her precious cargo. She finally managed to take off and flew outside, rested on a vetiver plant and then flew back inside the house and landed on a chair. She is carrying a spider she paralyzed to place inside a mud nest to eventually feed her larvae when they hatch. I frequently see these wasps flying around carrying small pieces of mud to make the nest, but to see them try to carry such a large spider is unusual. Eventually she gave up and left the alive, yet paralyzed spider on the chair.
