One of the first things planted on the property were coconut palms. It takes about seven years before they mature and begin producing. Last year one plant sent out a flower stalk, but no coconuts. This year things look more promising. This photo shows the flower stalk as it begins to emerge from the plant. On the stalk are a few tiny coconuts! Maybe this will be the year of coconuts on the property.
