A trip to town, Kitty hurt her paw

We spent many hours in Santiago de Puriscal yesterday because Kitty injured her paw and needed veterinary help. We went to the vet who is open on Sunday. They don't make appointments, you show up and wait in line. Fortunately we were first in line, but had to wait two hours for the doctor to appear.

After the doctor arrived and gave Kitty an examination he determined her paw was cut up and very infected. He needed to sedate her and clean it up which took a few hours. We chose to stay in town for the wait. Because it was Sunday, most of the stores were closed.

However, the park was full of people and lots of children. Back in 2017 I did a blog post about the exercise equipment that used to be in this area. No one ever used it. Fortunately, money was made available to turn the corner into a kids playground.

To pass the time we went into many stores. Above is a picture of the original "mall" in town. It looked sort of sad, mostly because many of the stores were closed. I noted the seafood vendor stall still smelled like fish... not in a good way.
