This tree seems to bloom at different times during the dry season. It's called Caña Fistula here, also known as the Golden Shower Tree.
This particular tree is in our neighbor's pasture. All of the "dots" in this picture are unopened flowers. Tomorrow I'll show up close pictures of the flowers as well as the unusual seed pods.
