I was fortunate to see this epiphyte growing at eye level in the tree when normally its growing high up in the tree tops. I watched the evolution of the flowers over several days. It started out with a small blush and then turned into a giant bloom before beginning the decline.
The Costa Rica plant book tells me this is Securidaca Sylvestris.
