This photo op presented itself yesterday morning near the house. It's a large Laughing Falcon, known here as a Guaco. I'm always happy to see these birds because they eat snakes. I have even seen a few fly overhead with snakes in their talons. The Ticos call this a Guaco because after the initial start up of their call that sounds like laughing, the call changes and sounds like guaco, guaco, guaco.
