A few times a year a hummingbird comes into the house and gets trapped. They naturally want to go high to get out, but above the windows is a screened area. It's rare for a trapped bird to figure out they need to fly down about three feet where the sliding glass doors are open. What is even more rare is that the ladder happens to be in the house at the same time as a pretty trapped bird. Me on the ladder near the bird frightened him even more so I tried to keep my distance and to be quick taking pictures. These birds fly so fast it's not often I am able to see all of the beautiful colors they possess. When I was finished John caught and released the bird.
