River Treasure

Crystal geodes found in Rio Viejo, Puriscal
Here's the best treasure I found in the river this year. I spotted this one, crystal side up, on the river bank. I take the exceptional specimens back to the house for us to admire. Others that are deemed "cool", but not exceptional are housed outdoors in my secret rock garden. The rainy season is just about over and the torrential river that stirs up these beauties will reside for the summer.

For perspective this geode measures about 5 inches long and 3 inches tall.

Wow. That is a beautiful thing and I like the way a river pretty much hands them to you.
