A variety of big purple grass grows on the property. Previous owners planted it to feed cattle. I am told this type of grass increases milk production. I heard a story of someone feeding too much of this grass to a cow with calf and the cow produced too much milk too fast and a veterinarian had to be called. It gets around three meters tall and some like it for the color it adds to a garden.
