Pochote Flower in Rio Viejo |
One of the delights of the dry season is watching flowers from pochote trees fall into the river.

Pochote Flower in Rio Viejo |
I like to watch how the current carries them away or how they get stuck on the sore or somewhere else. These flowers are edible and there are always many partially eaten ones on the river bank.

Orchids, bromeliads and other plants growing on a Pochote tree. |
This tree is also host to many other forms of life, including bird nests, orchids, bromeliads and other plants. I took a video of a flower in the river using a manual focus vintage lens. I was reminded that if I want to take videos like this, then I need to start carrying my glasses with me.
Here's a link to the video.
