This is about as close to watching football as I'm going to get. I took this picture a month or so ago. Each year the stand of bamboo below our house puts out new shoots. They grow amazingly fast and straight in the air. After about one month of upright growth they begin putting out side branches and leaves. The additional weight causes the otherwise straight pole to bend like the others from previous years. These two remind me of goalposts.
